Online Seminary Education
If you're already in a ministry setting or can't yet move to one of our locations, online seminary courses provide a great way to receive a thorough theological education from seasoned, godly professors and start forming relationships with other students. You can complete our entire C.B.T.S. online or begin a hybrid program that combines online classes with week-long trips to one of our eight locations.

Online Education at DTS
Fully Online Programs
DTS offers several fully online programs in English:
- M.A. in Biblical Studies (MA[BS])
All 62 hours can be completed in any DTS location or through a combination of online and on-campus classes. - Certificate of Biblical and Theological Studies (CBTS)
30 hour fully online English program for lay leaders and those wanting an introduction to seminary.
Hybrid Online Degrees
Students can complete up to two-thirds (2/3) of any DTS degree through distance education:
- M.A. in Christian Leadership (MA/CL)
After 41 hours online and a 12-hour ministry internship, you only need to complete 9 hours through week-long intensives at any of our eight locations. - Master of Theology (Th.M.)
Up to 80 hours of our flagship 4-year program completed online or at an extension campus. - Other degree programs
You can complete up to 2/3 hours of any other degree program online.

Distance Learning Locations
Each of our six master’s-level extensions features classes taught by regular Dallas and Houston campus professors and offers complete M.A./CL and M.A.(BS) degrees. For the Th.M. and professional M.A. degrees, you can start online or at an extension campus and complete the remaining hours at the Dallas or Houston campuses.
